I work in water treatment and have always been told certain jobs require a dive certification to even be considered. My seizures have only ever been focal, and usually aware. I am also a rare case with a cavernoma that has undergone lazer treatment. I was just wondering if anyone here happens to be similar or even reached seizure free and been able to acquire a license. It won’t ruin my life dream to not have one, but getting one would be nice and help with career opportunities.

I was certified before my AVM was diagnosed…but I had a massive brain hemorragh and my neurosurgeon told me that I could never dive again. I had my certificate before my AVM was diagnosed. I must say it was VERY sad to be told that I could never scuba dive again…Although he did say I could snorkel…But going underwater was such a joy for me before I had the hemorrhage.
