I am so glad that you went to the ER but sorry you still do not feel well. I am just going to have to send more positive thoughts your way! Thank you for keeping us posted!
I'm sorry that you're feeling so lousy, Hilary! At least you have some peace of mind knowing that you're brain is not hemmoraging! This has happened to me several times. I get very frustrated and never want to go again when I'm in that awful pain, but I can't discount the fact that their pain meds are I.V.and do the job quicker and better! LOL Seriously, I remember being so afraid that I was either going to have a stroke or die! You can't put a price tag on the relief you get knowing you are safe!

Thank you all so much for encouraging me to go to the ER! Im fine now.
Yesterday I saw my neurologist and he said hes pretty sure it was a migraine made worse by hormones. After he explained it all it made sense. He said Keppra is one of the anti-seizure meds that actually does NOT prevent migraines(in high school Depakote helped a lot!). So he gave me some samples of strong migraine pills (and one shot!) that should help if that happens again.
Has anyone else ever had a hormonal related headache/migraine? I had migraines in high school and they stopped when before I got pregnant with my son (at 19). I guess because Im 26 my hormones arent right again. Maybe theyre not right because I did have a Mirena inserted this winter (because my heart doctor doesnt want me on the pill). I dont know what to do about the hormones.

And one more thing... I just posted a blog on my page (No AVMs?) because my doctor now isnt sure if these four things in my head are AVMs. Maybe someone can help me figure out whats going on with that.
