Dr. Thinks pulmonary AVM is too insignificant to treat

From everything I’ve researched is that the small AVMs are often more dangerous than larger ones.
I just came from a consultation with a thoracic surgeon (I was referred by my primary doctor) and she believes its too small to treat (3-4mm) and said even if it was larger unless I have sever symptoms she wouldn’t recommend treatment.
This just doesn’t match up with the studies I’ve read online.
This has been months just trying to get this appointment and I’m not sure if I should just leave it alone or persue yet another opinion.
Basically she said shed be wiling to do another CT in 8 months to 1 year to check for growth and to call if my symptoms get worse.

Seek another opinion at the very least. Does this thoracic surgeon have any experience with AVMs?
