I am coming around to the idea. I am continually having issues with my eyes. I am so stubborn sometimes but I am going to let them dilate me. Thank you Ninibeth. :)
I'm waiting on an appointment there for that myself. Some insurance hang up is holding it up. I am looking forward to talking to them.
I am glad you are able to read again! I am not blind but my eyes don't cooperate enough these days to enjoy a book and behave oddly. I am going on the 19th and I am going to let them do what they need to. THank you for sharing your experience.
After 20+ years with double vision, I am having a procedure done in January at the MAYO Hospital in Minnesota to correct this!! I visited with that doctor, went through alot of eye exams and he said"I can do it"!! It is in and out the same day, staying in town that night. . .
I have had alot of problems dealing with my vision since my 2nd bleed in '90, have seen a number of specialist. Nervous, but excited!!
Wow Diane good luck and let is know how it goes… I would do anything to get rid of this double vision (well almost anything…lol).
Diane that is amazing! I wish you the best with the procedure. It is nice hear. :)
Actally due to my double vision was just referred to a neuro-opt. we will see what he feels...still near a field vision test due to be done next week....get tired of doctors right? but we need to advocate for uourselves. Mare
Best wishes for your appointments coming Mare! You are right about doctors and advocacy. Information is the key. Thank you!
Until my AVM was diagnosed I just saw an optometrist (I already wore glasses). Now I see an ophthamologist and they often dilate the eyes for thorough exams. I think it helps them see the back of the eye? I hadn't had my eyes dilated for years and forgot how long it takes for that stuff to wear off. I do suggest having someone else drive you for safety's sake.
