Hi, I haven't been on this site for a long time, though occasionally I do check things out....
I am asking if anyone has had this type of MRI, as I was in ER about 10 days ago, with a suspected bleed....had had a sudden onset headache but didn't go in for a couple of days hoping that it was just a bad headache and when I got worse and couldn't really stand up, let my son take me into hospital.
After a CT scan, and a lumbar puncture, the results being inconclusive, I insisted on being let go...after all, I could talk to all of the doctors and my AVM was already considered inoperable!
I know the reason I didn't go in when I had the initial headache, I was seen by multiple doctors that day who all got mad at me for not coming in when I had the onset, but I figured that since my initial bleed resulted in finding the AVM and finding out subsequently that it was inoperable, I was terrified, didn't want to spend another 2 weeks in NICU or anything.....
Needless to say the head of neurosurgery who was on my case that day has requested the CVR MRI and a regular one to check the status of my AVM (was last MRI'd in February of this year).....
