Hello

Hello, i’m a 27 year old guy from sweden, my name is Niclas and i just wanted to say hi

I got a AVM in my head which is not yet fixed, havent had a bleed yet but i’m in the dangerzone apparently, iim supposted to be resting most of my days and not get my blood pressure up, so im like best friend with the tv nowadays

I’m Going to have to wait like a few months before i can get started with fixing it.

So, how are all of you doing?

Best wishes, Niclas

Hi Niclas,
God speed. I was also glued to the tv when I was recovering or surgery. I know it is quite boring. Hang in there.

Im going to be having a proton beam radiation threatment, anyone got any info regarding this?

Apparenty the risk for bleed will still be there for the coming three years am i right?

The AVM is 3cm, is that large? It seems that the malformatio. Is located at a “good” spot, tho it was to riskfull to use the original surgery

3 cm is considered small, any larger and it would fit into the medium category. They do say that radiation will take 2-3 years to work, and bleeding can occur. It is my understanding that every case is different. On the top right of this page is a search bar. Type in key words and post will apear on the subject. It is a great way to get information! Make sure you right down your qeastion to ask your doctor. If I don't I forget to ask. Your doctor knows the most about your specific case. Also, you will see on here people suggesting second opinions, it is a good idea to do so! It is very important if you are not getting the answers you need from your current doctor! I hope this helps! I am still new at this myself! I wish you the best of luck!
