Just wanted to introduce myself. My name is Jenny and I am 29 years old. I have three beautiful baby girls, ages 4, 2 and 7 weeks (on Thursday). I was recently DX'ed with Uterine AVM and just discovered there is virtually no information out there about it.
But I did manage to stumble across this site :) I'm looking to connect with others with Uterine AVM to share stories and experiences.
I did a search for you…http://www.avmsurvivors.org/main/search/search?q=Uterine We have almost 7000 members on here. You are not longer alone! Welcome!
Welcome Jenny! You'll love this site!
I didn't have uterine AVM - mine was brain, but you'll find lots of support here.
There are a TON of people on this site so I'm sure someone out there has the Uterine kind and can connect with you. Maybe the moderators know of someone?
Blessings...
Tina
Welcome Jenny, This is a great site for information and support. I hope you find all you need here :) . Also wishing you well with your AVM and its treatment. Hope everything goes smooth, I too have young children my boys are 6, 5 & 5 (Twins) and love them more than anything :) . Take care.
We are glad to have you here Jenny! And as Barbara H. showed you on the link, there are others like you in here! Also, you might want to reach out at Non-Brain AVMs Group to see if others have experiences that might be useful to you! Thanks for joining!
Welcome to the site & God bless im sure many others can assist you.
Welcome Jenny. I see Barbara already gave you the search link. Check that out and let us know if you have any questions.
Welcome to the site Jenny! I just did a preliminary search of members that have (or had) uterine AVMS and I found almost two dozen members not only from all over the US but from all over the world as well (Australia, the UK, Canada, Hong Kong, etc.). This is an excellent place to not only get more information about uterine AVMs but to also get information from those on the same journey with their own uterine AVM. I am very happy for you having your three beautiful girls, but it just gives you even more incentive to find out what you can and take care of yourself. Best of luck to you on this journey and I sincerely hope you find all the answers that you seek and more. Again, welcome and we are extremely glad you are here! Don't hesitate to ask questions, post discussions, or anything else! :)
Welcome to our club Jenny! I have never heard of that particular AVM but you will find much information and support here. Good luck with your treatment.
Hi Jenny and welcome!
Thanks!
Thanks!
Wow, three boys... two of them twins! You have your hands full, I'm sure!
Well good news (I guess). After five hemorrhages... two D&Cs... two surgeries... a tubal ligation and a Novasure ablation.... 11 long weeks of bleeding after having Skylar... I think the AVM is finally "solved." Go back Tuesday for an ultrasound to find out for sure. I cannot have more children but we are blessed with the three we do have.
Let us know the results of your ultrasound on Tuesday, buckamite! We all are hoping you will be told that you are AVM free...
Beautiful babies!
I sure hope it is solved, buckamite. Three children is plenty to love.
