Hi everyone, we are going ahead with the Irish AVM meetup in Limerick city on Saturday 21st of July.We will meet at Limerick Bus Station, stop number 1 at 2pm and go from there into town for the tea, anyone from Ireland on the site feel free to join us.As of yet there are four people confirmed to go & hopefully by Saturday there will be a few more, all are welcome to join us on the day.Hope you hear from you :~)
Hi Christine,
I'm an American student who's been living in Dublin the past six weeks and am about to return home on the 21st. I missed the survivors meet up for my hometown while in Ireland and would love to join you all on Saturday if possible. Despite not being local Irish, would I still be welcome? Thanks for the insight.
Cheers, Joanna
Hi Joanna, of course you are welcome to join us, the more the merrier. So that will be 5 confirmed and with a bit of luck a few more will see this before Saturday & opt in also.Great stuff.I will email you my mobile number to avoid any confusion on the day.YAY, SEE YOU SATURDAY
I wish we had one in London!!
Why not start one? I am certain you will find alot of people in London with AVM. Why not put the question on a new discussion on here or enquire on the U.K AVM AWARENESS SITE? I attend the hospital in London for my AVM, my doc is in Charing cross hospital in Hammersmith. He is a very busy specialist in AVM so i am guessing there are many people in U.k & London who would love for you to set up a meeting and share your experiences & knowledge :~)
Thank you so much Christine! As it turns out, my flight home conflicts with the meeting, so I'm going to miss it by just a few hours. It's disappointing, but I know I'll return to Ireland sometime soon and will keep my eyes peeled for another meet up (as well as one closer to home!).
Ahhh that is a real shame Joanna but best of luck to you when you return home, i hope you enjoyed your time in Ireland :~)
Christine- I'm so glad to see you started your own meetup in Ireland. The power of this awesome site and You for spearheading your first meetup. Nice job!! Let us know how it goes and please take some pictures to upload on this site.
Thanks a million Debra, i was a little worried that it might not go ahead with such little numbers but as one of the other lads said, it is better a little, than none at all.And who knows, once we post up some news & pics after the meetup it might encourage more to join us the next time we meet :~)This site an amazing place, i am so happy to have found it and met such great people! :~)
