Looking for positive craniotomy stories

I am a walking talking AVM survivor after having craniotomy… I suffered a bleed a month after being diagnosed and had surgery 2 weeks later for removal… I have no regrets and grateful I could have it removed as many aren’t so lucky!

It is a hard journey for recovery, but in this day and age I have confidence medical treatment has advanced so much more than what I had in 2011… there is light at the other side and if it’s something that can be removed, then it’s a big step to take to move on with life… sending prayers to you and your family and hope your daughter gets through this with no issues… God bless!

Hi everyone, I just wanted to post a little update. My daughter had her craniotomy 3 weeks ago. After 3 days she was discharged. Once the staples were out 2 weeks later, she went back to school. The surgeon thinks he took it all out but an mri in 3 months will show us more. She’s still in speech and language therapy and memory remains fragile but resuming life again is a massive step for her.
