Small AVM on the left frontal (embolization)

Hi mates. I'm new here. Glad to know of the existence of this community.
So my history goes back to Feb. 2007. During a sexual relationship I felt a huge/bizarre headache before the orgasm. Went immediatly to the hospital (I know in the moment that that wasnt a normal headache) and the first diagnosed was a aneurysm.
After that, I've been diagnosed with a small AVM on the left front parientonal. My doctors told me that the AVM was no big issue on a advanced age person, but since I was 20 back time, it became urgent to treat it. It was also told me that was perfectly cured with some advance treatments such as gamma knife or embolization (one or two sessions). I'm from Coimbra, Portugal, but back time, this treatment wasnt implemented in our local hospital, so I've to go to Lisbon to embolization. I went on june 2007 to the embolization, and it worked perfectly fine, no side effects no nothing. It was told me by the doctors that almost for sure, i didnt need another session. So I went back to Lisbon around December 2007 to an angiogram of control and If needed another session of embolization. My final diagnostic according to doctors was that I didnt need another session and the AVM was totally removed with embolization and I perfectly cured for life.
6 years as past since the episode, and in Aug. 2013 for other reasons I went to a neurolagic doctor and he advised me to do a MRI to see how it goes. Well it seems that the MRI is not clear about the total embolization of the AVM, and he told it's better to the another angiogram and if necessary do a embolization in the same sessions (looks like since 2007 my local hospital implemented the embolization and now its no need to go to Lisbon), and know I'm waiting to schedule.

So if any of guys can answer me, I will be extremely happy.

An angiogram control cured from embolization meens a cure for life? Or it is possible that AVM come back?

Scarfish, I think this discussion may be illuminating: http://www.avmsurvivors.org/profiles/blogs/embolization-alone-does-not?xg_source=activity

Unfortunately, I find that doctors are not very clear about this issue with their patients.

thank you dancermom :)
