Small Residual AVM

Merl…I’m so sorry to hear that. You’ll be in my thoughts. Give an update when you can.

I will do @tgarcia19 when I have more info myself.
My ‘rose-coloured-glasses’ view (Optimist side) is maybe they’ll reconsider. But my realist side says that’s not likely.
My next appointment is the 15th, so I should have more info then.

Sorry to hear about this residual found after having craniotomy in 2013… I can understand the feeling!

I had surgery in 2011 & told they removed my AVM completely, however in 2019 I had a check up MRI & the report stated it had returned.

I consulted my neurosurgeon at the time & told to make sure 100% they needed to do an angiogram as it is the golden standard.

I waited 4 months over Christmas & New Years living life thinking I had this AVM back after it bled on me 1 month after diagnosis in 2010… my angiogram was done just before Covid hit & it discovered it was incorrectly diagnosed on the MRI… I was told during the time waiting that treatment could be either surgery or radiotherapy!

Everyone is different & your medical team are the experts as they are aware of your specific circumstances… you could get an angiogram just to double check as there is that possibility the scan is incorrect, however your medical team would know best considering location, history etc… did they tell you in 2013 that they removed it all?

Please keep us posted on your journey & pray everything works out… God bless!
