Debbie, I am happy you have a date set for your surgery. From several of the comments on here, I take it that Dr Barrow is an excellent doctor. It's always reassuring to know someone else who has used the same dr. with good results. I have an appointment with my neuro on Feb 15 to discuss my surgery and set a date for my embo and craniotomy also. I think everyone will agree that the waiting is one of the hardest parts of all this. I am so anxious to get mine over with, because my daughter's baby is due in July, and I want to be able to enjoy it. Everything is in God's time, though, and up to Him.
I really do have a peace about all this, but I admit I still get in a hurry! I'm so thankful that God knows what's best for me! Take care of yourself, and try to relax a little--yeah, right! You're in my thoughts and prayers. And thank you for sharing with us.
Debbie, Thats something to celebrate. Have your husband cook you a candle light diner. :) I would be nervouse too and happy that something is finaly being done. There a many successfull stories here of both types of those surgeries. I have faith that you will prevail through this.
HI debbie congrats on the dates, now you can relax now that the dates are set. Relax and enjoy your self and your family and take care of your self before and after surgery you are going to do great!!! Lots of love and prayers sent your way. Looking forward to hearing from you when you recover. Will be thinking of you.
I also wanted to say congrats on setting the dates. My husband had his craniotomy on 02/11/11. He was in the hospital a total of 9 days but since coming home is doing great. We go next week for his final clearance from the neurosurgeon. We will be sending prayers your way. Let us know how you do!
If you are seeing Dr. Barrows at Emory here in Atlanta, then you are in good hands. My wife has been treated by him for the last two years. Will be praying for you, and might get to spot you as we enter on the 21st for my wife's next treatment.
