Thanks everyone for making me feel like I'm not the only person who has an avm. Mine is in the brain. Mine is different because it is near the nerval courtex that controls the left side of my body. In 2 days,I had 3 episodes. 1 at home and 2 at school. It freaked my teacher and my classmates out. I have had a drop foot for a long time and have never been able to walk right. I have been bullied, picked on, and even shoved in the wall. It has been horrible but now that I found this website, I have felt a ton better
I am so sorry people picked on you. Unfortunately, haters are gonna hate. Eventually, all that negativity will backfire on them. There are close to 7000 members on here. You are no longer alone!
Hi Donlockwood. I am so sorry to hear that you have had to deal with bullies on top of everything else. I just got diagnosed. I'm 50. I have two kids, one 18 and one 15. I know how creepy bullies can be. I wish you well.
Picking on someone for a health condition or physical weakness is the lowest of the low. Don't let it pass -- complain in writing to the school principal, and name names.
I agree with dancermom. No reason anyone should be bullied, especially because of a physical or mental condition.
Isn't it wonderful that you know have friends that totally understand what happened to you!
A video so that you know you are not alone! http://kidshealth.org/parent/videos/kids-talk-bullying.html?tracking=P_RelatedArticle
Welcome Don, I’m glad you joined the site! Bullied?! They ought to crawl under a rock! I know school is tough, but the best thing you can do is name names. Sometimes the best defense is a good offense!
