Funny, I was thinking about this very topic today, kristi. Yes, there are many studies about the medical benefits of cannabis, particularly in seizure reduction. Sometimes it's a question of legality, availability, and personal sense of rightness or appropriateness. For instance, my father was prescribed cannabis for terminal pancreatic cancer to control pain, but it just didn't feel right to him to try it, so he didn't.
Then there's associated stroke risks involved...

Yes, but that is marijuana use. This patent is for a certain class of cannabinoids. Particularly the nonpsychoactive variation - meaning: no high.
The reason I posted the link was

I keep seeing this all over the net since the last Presidential election. I admit my own personal use no problem. I don't usually like to advocate legalizing for medicinal use because I don't really believe most of it. I still have migraines, I still have a lack of appeitite and I still have high anxiety. Im fact, I think smoking makes my anxiety worse as well as a few other things. I just really thought there was something here in this specific class of cannabinoids because of the fact that it clearly says the non psychoactive class of cannabinoid is most effective in treatment.
I actually had my stroke about a month after I quit smoking pot because I found out I was pregnant. I don't think that is related otherwise I would be out on some hippie strut with a sign and a petition LOL.
