"Treated Clinically"

Hi Everyone, My neurosurgeon sent my MRIs and Angiogram down to the Barrow Institute in Arizona and Dr. Spetzler reviewed it. The short message that was sent back to us was that he did not recommend surgery at this time due to the size, location and drainage pattern. It was rated as a grade IV (it is inside my left side cerebellum). He said it should be “Treated Clinically”, which I’m guessing is pain killers and follow up MRIs.

Is anyone else dealing with this situation and can expand on the meaning please?

Thanks,
Jimmy

Hi JimmyB. There is a sub-group here you may wish to join…http://www.avmsurvivors.org/group/inoperableavms
I know several members on here who were diagnosed 20 plus years ago and are still alive and kicking. Sometimes it is a pleasure to prove doctors wrong!!!

Also, did a search for you on here…

I’ll do that. Thanks Barbara!
