Vision problems

A couple months after I found out I had an AVM (because I started having seizures) I started having vision problems. I call it "my eyes messing up". I have the symptoms of being drunk without drinking: I see double, I cant walk straight, it is hard for my to verbalize things and my emotions go crazy. One minute I'm laughing. And the next I'm crying. This usually happens a couple day after I have been drinking, when I don't get a lot of sleep or when I'm really stressed. I have been to my neurologists and an optomologist and they don't have any answers. I have always wondered if it was from my AVM. Has anyone else experienced this?

I would guess it would be. Have you talked to a neurosurgeon?

Robin

Yes but he had no idea

Kati, do you know where your AVM is? I assume it's in your brain but do you know where in your brain? I find my deficits are much more pronounced when I'm more tired than usual. A good rest usually helps but it may take a couple of days before I feel better.

Are you on anti seizure meds? Maybe they need higher dosage. Hydration might be a problem if you have been drinking the day or days before.

Have you had an EEG during these episodes? They finally had to run an EEG on me to realize I was still having problems.
