A Prayer for Parents of Children with AVM
Dear God,
We come before You with hearts heavy, yet full of love—parents carrying a weight we never imagined, watching our child face an invisible battle inside their brain.
You know our tears, the sleepless nights, the trembling hands as we search for answers, the way our hearts stop with every seizure, every scan, every pause in their speech.
We ask You now—please hold us.
Hold us when we feel helpless.
Hold us when we must be strong in front of our child, even as we break inside.
Hold us when hope feels thin and fear rushes in.
Lord, give us the strength to endure the waiting—the waiting for surgery, for answers, for healing, for peace.
Give us courage to advocate fiercely, wisdom to choose the right path, and grace to face the unknown.
Let us feel Your presence beside every hospital bed, in every consult room, and in every breath we take just to stay upright for our child.
We lift our children to You—so uniquely brave, so full of light. Protect them. Heal them. Surround them with gifted hands and gentle hearts. And when they are scared, whisper peace to their souls.
For every parent walking this path—bind us together. Let our shared sorrow become shared strength. Help us carry one another in prayer, in love, in unwavering support.
Even here, especially here, remind us that love still grows.
That joy still finds a way.
That miracles—loud or quiet—still unfold.
Amen
