Advice on adjusting specialized wheelchair

Hello some of you already know our case my brother 43, cerebellum massive bleeding in December 17 and brain infection in January 18. He is improving slowly but eventually will be on a chair longer periods of the day and I am seeking advice regarding reusing a donated chair as they are quite expensive brand new (around 6 k). My understanding is that the chairs for people in his condition are customized for each patient and that a bad fit will hurt his body so I want to know if a donated chair as a Q-IRIS from the brand Quickie (attached flyer of this chair) can be successfully adjusted to his size and needs with a technician. Any experiences with reusing chairs as these type would be great/ thanks!

In short, yes. Depending on the adjustments needed.
There are all sorts of differing seats, backs, footrests and headrests available for those chairs. There is an issue with weight and the type of foot rest to be aware of. If it has Z-Finity footrest, which is angle adjustable footrest, weight and the chairs balance can be an issue. But in saying that the footrest can be replaced.
A proper technician should be able to source any additional extension, seats, etc required.
