I am taking Keppra. I feel like the side effects keep getting worse. I am so tired. All I've done for three days is lie on my couch and watch TV. I am so weak, I could barely lift up my bag of laundry today and I am feeling more ans more depressed every day. No matter how much I sleep I am always tired. I never feel rested. I am going to call my doctor tomorrow. But, before I call, I just wanted to know if anyone used any alternatives that didn't have all the side effects. I have 3 kids and feel like I've been a horrible mom since I've had my surgery(which makes me even more depressed). I am too weak and tired to do anything.
Hi Mary Kate,
I felt the same way when i started using Keppra, but it wore off once my body adjusted to it. It did take a while, and yes i do get tired sometimes with the higher doses. How long have you been on it?
My pharmacy tried to put me on generic brand, but my neurologist did feel comfortable with it. This will wear off.

hello Mary Kate,
I’m not familiar with your condition, I fell sorry, one of my empolyee had minor epilepsy, that condition kept him from performing normal work. One thing I do say research alternative, herbal, naturopathy, etc. I don’t belief in man made chemicals-drugs, been there, nobody could force to take fda approved drugs.
The majority of USA take Phrama drugs, thats why we are the most unhealthy people, REASON??? drs. don’t treat causes.
GOod luck.
People will respond differently to the medication. Talk with your neurologist about it, and also explain this to your family as well. You didn’t ask to feel this way, and you definitely do not need the added pressure of feeling like a bad parent.
