Hi, everyone! Here's a link to an article about a little girl who is an AVM survivor. She goes to my neurosurgeon, Dr. Peter Rasmussen. He's amazing!

I believe the girl has a cavernoma (also known as cavernous malformation), but the author of the article is using both cavernoma & AVM.
Cavernomas are in the same vascular malformation 'family' as AVM.

I saw this yesterday! Don't know what caught my eye about the article title but I decided to click on it and was amazed to read a yahoo article about a cerebral vascular malformation!!

I am so glad that this girl was able to get treatment and is doing so well afterwards too!
