AVF and Embolization

After all the tests(CT,MRI and Arteriogram)the diagnosis is a very "complex" deep- seated AVM/AVF in the corpus callosum. The plan is to use Embolization as treatment in two weeks. I would appreciate feedback from those who may have had a similar experience, including information about what i can expect from the treatment and possible side effects. I have included a picture from my Arteriogram.

I'm confused about something, Sampson. I thought dural avfs were located in the outer covering of the brain, not deep seated in the corpus callosum?

As far as getting feedback, there have been a lot of discussions about embolization. If you type "embolization" in the search box at the upper right of this page, you can read a lot of experiences. (Ignore those that aren't about brain avms.) Side effects are more dependent on location, so typing "corpus callosum" iun the search box may help you more there.

I wish you the best with your embolization surgery!

Dancer,
You are correct. The Dural part was a misdiagnosis from the first neurologist. I have corrected the title

Okay, thanks. Sampson, when I google "avm corpus callosum," a number of studies come up that might be helpful for you to look at. Some have had radiation treatments, as well as embolization and/or surgery.
