Has anyone else had an AVM that affected different parts and functions of the brain at one time?
My AVM was located between my parietal and occipital lobes. My cognitive defecits are from the parietal area and my visual defecits are from the occipital area. I'm sure it's quite common to have an AVM in two different areas of the brain and affect different functions.
My AVM is located in the anterioal frontal lobe and I find that I have a disturbance in my vision feild of my right eye. I have been tested and the results are that my short term and working memory are 8%-12% by comparison to my intellect. My emotions are much to handle on a daily basis. Not sure if that is from the frustration of the memory though.
Does this make it hard for either of you to function at work, if you are working? My memory was severely affected as well as my ability to stand for long periods of time. I find it hard to explain to people that I am capable of many things but not as much as I used to be.
