BlackOuts

Has any one been expericing blackouts after there AVM has been removed??

Depends on your definition of black out. It's possible you're experiencing petite seizures. Sometimes you don't notice them; you just zone out for a bit. Or do you mean like total blackout?

Hi Kristi,

I don’t feel it’s a total blackout. The best way I can explain it is a slow blacker covering you brain from back to front. Your eyes start to blacken. So you stop moving until the moment passes. I have had a couple of theses experiences lately during physical activity.

I know what you mean. I don't know what it is. I've experienced them before I knew had an avm. Kind of like your brain napping for a few seconds while you're awake. Like a sheet being pulled over. Or like when you stand up too fast and it goes white for a few secs only this turns black (or for me it was kind of red/black). I have no idea if that's a seizure thing or not. Does it tingle at all when it happens? Definitely something to ask a Dr. about. I hate saying that because it's not always easy to just ask a Dr.
