Update of how things are going. I was given 2 treatment options radiotherapy or surgery. I have decided on surgery and I am waiting now on a surgery date. One of my main concerns is having the operation and having side effects after from the surgery. I have no symptoms at the moment as I have been told that my dizziness and whooshing in my ear are unrelated. I have to remind myself that my recovery from surgery will be easier than recovering from a bleed or worse. Nervous and positive.
I wish you all the best with whichever path you choose. I have had the Gamma Knife three times and had minimal side effects from the surgeries. On the other hand, they haven’t proven to be very successful for me as I’m currently nearing five years since my last treatment and I still don’t know if it worked. I also had a second bleed 8 years after my second treatment. Hopefully your treatment will offer you a long-term cure with minimal side effects.
