Can someone please explain to me what happens when you do a bubbling test ? Does it hurt?

If this is the echocardiogram using saline with bubbles in it, it's not a big deal (although I've never had it done, just have spoken with people who have had it done). I've heard the worst part is getting the I.V. put in, and that the I.V. is no different than any other I.V.
