hai, I was diagnosed with AV malformation in my right calf in the year 2006, got it obliterated through surgery. it again recurred after 5 years just above my post op part. I would like to meet people with same diagnosis. more over please do help me regarding compression stockings. up to what level of mercury pressure is advisable?
I have an AVM in my left thigh and i wear compression stocking at all times. Normally they have to be prescribed by your doctor - i've had mine since i was 15 and I'm 30 now. I wear a 30-40 compression and it does a good job keeping the swelling down.
I've been wearing that strength since my teens. It doesn't bother me much and i'm used to it. I've been wearing Sigvaris brand though. I've tried Jobst before but they just seem way too thick...Sigvaris lets you breathe a little more in my opinion. Mine are open toe but goes up to my thigh.
My AVM is very diffuse so you cannot see it on the skin. I'm going to Colorado in September from Kentucky to get my first procedure. I'm kind of nervous about it. Have you had any treatments for yours?
Hi Clark, What fabric of Sigvaris are you using? Would Rubber be good?
