I walked yesterday to try and get back in shape. Did much better than I thought I would. Now this morning I wake up and literally every single time I move I have a clicking sound. The dripping sound has been gone for at least 5 weeks and now suddenly today it’s clicking. Literally with every step I take every move I make. Haha like the song.
anyone else have this before? It’s been 9 weeks. So… I’m not sure what it could be.
Just realized when I apply pressure to right below my incision spot that it stops…
Hi Kayden,
I had the same thing happen to me after my craniotomy. It started several months after the surgery and would go through phases. It would click for a few days then it would stop, then it would be back Much like you, there was a spot on my head where I could put pressure on it and it would stop the clicking. At the same time, if I was sitting still I could press on the spot and make it click on command. It was loud enough that I could do it and it would freak people out. My surgery was almost 9 years ago and the clicking stopped several years ago. Turns out that the clicking was from a titanium speed flap disk. It is basically a set of disks, one inside the skull, the other outside of the skull. They get sinched together and it helps hold the skull until the bone fuses. Once it begins to fuse, it can cause the metal discs to become a bit loose. Eventually, it will likely get fused and held in place by bone tissue. It does takea while though. Creepy, yes, dangerous, not really.
totally know what you mean about this I was out having a walk one day in February and it started raining I put my hood up and all I could hear was this tapping sound in my head , I had to keep stopping and looking at my hood I thought it was a zip or something tapping my head lol
then it went through a stage of every time I walked and put my right foot down it would click it drove me crazy , but it has recently stopped again now I can also apply pressure to it and make it click on command I also find myself constantly rubbing the titanium strip out of habbit and also putting my finger on the burr whole they made crazy stuff but as far as I know from what I have read its all suppose to do that.
