Doc Appt. 1 for this week

Saw Psych today..now this kinda burns me up but the last time I went to see this guy..I felt he was shifty but then again he is a psych guy so maybe I should let it roll. They are a different critter in many ways...but he told me this appt. he was going to test Jacob and it would be about an hour and fifteen minutes for jacob to test so he would set aside two hours. We arrived 20 mins. early and then we were called..we talked with the doctor for 15 mins. and then he sends me out he asked Jacob 2 ?'s....one a yes or no answer and the other asking him if he gets angry or have anxiety...then tells him to deep breathe...next thing I know Jacob comes out and says he said we could go and make appt. for one month...ugh!!!He also says he thinks that Jacob doesn't have behavioral or emotional issues and that his are more neurological and medical...so why are we doing this dance..I drove two hours for this why??? ..to get the referral for the evaluation which tells us what functions he has lost and will need rehab..but to more than likely charge the insurance for two hours when we only saw him for 30 minutes..that had me leaving there feeling sad.On the plus side I got a chance to go to neurology dept. and talk with them...as some may know the left hand doesn't know what the right hand does..so I informed them as to what one doctor said as diagnosis of the complex seizures...with alarm they said they don't think that may be correct but want to do a 48 hour brain wave test(EEG) so in the next month they will be scheduling that and seeing if he does have seizure activity.YaY!!!And in two days we are seeing the eye doc...no pun intended. Also I was able to get the paperwork necessary for Jacob's IEP for school and get that ball rolling today as well.Jacob as Jacob had a good day today...he was happy go lucky and he was making me laugh...the Jacob I know and love..will keep you all posted on the eye appt. Just a quick summary of needing eye doc...before the rupture Jacob was having vision issues with distance. Since the rupture and after each so called seizures he is now having trouble with near vision as well as far.And hoping since he is a specialist in dealing with brain issue patients I am hopeful we won't have to be a trial and error patient. Hugs!!
