I have had 3 brain bleeds, 1 craniotomy, 2 shuntectomies (sp), and 3 gamma knife treatments. All of these procedures took place at UAB in Birmingham, AL. Dr. Markirk did my first shunt and 2 gamma knife surgeries. Dr. Fischer did my shuntectomy and craniontomy. Dr. Elgavish helped with the shunt and craniotomy. I would gladly recommend any one of these doctors. They all have done an exceptional job for me and my family.
