Saw a neurologist today about seizure, pain management....and was given prescription for Evavil for headaches and anxiety/depression....is anyone else on this? Does it work?
My anxiety, headaches awful....i think it is just anxiety leading up to angiogram and the thought that there might be no treatment available for my avm and or aneurysm....
Hi! Well I’m on lamicta and for depression abilify. That normal we all are been there feeling frustrated and depress.but everything is gonna be okay, you hav e to have a positive attitute, and be strong you will see .you journey is gonna be okay.just be positive I know you may think is easy saying that doinng it. My daughter was put on Elavil for headaches about 3 1/2 weeks ago. The doctor thought she was having rebound headaches from too much tylenol (never went over daily maximum dose, but she was taking them almost every day for about 5 months). Well, after 2 weeks, they increased the dose because not working. Now this last week, we changed to Topamax. she has never had a seizure, just the darn headaches. The doctors told us the Elavil helps in 60 to 70% of people. Unfortunately, didn’t help my daughter… we are hoping this new pill helps. Hopefully, the Elavil will help you!! She did sleep better with it…
I was on quite a large dose of amitriptyline at bedtime. These did help with my headaches although after a while I started getting palpitations and the doctor said that i couldn’t continue being on them. The headaches did not come as regular and it also helped with my fibromyalgia pain. I am now on lyrica.
