Epilepsy Treatment

I've been dealing with seizures as a result of the AVF/AVM rupture. I've been on several drugs in many different combinations. nothing is working, I am still having seizures. In the month of December I had 4. My Neurologist has referred my out to a specialist who will evaluate me for further treatment options.
The tried and true: Temporal Lobectomy, remove the seizure causing damaged lobe. problem with that is the hemorrhages caused damaged to two lobes and in multiple areas of those lobes.
Vagal Nerve Stimulation
Neuropace
I don't even know how to accurately describe the other two, other than mechanical devices that get inserted in the body that provide electrical currents that attempt to disrupt seizure signals.
So - Open My skull again and remove part of my brain or turn me into a cyborg?
Let's see what the new Doc advises.

Jaime, please repost this on the seizures subgroup. Temporal lobectomy sounds really extreme. You should definitely seek more opinions. I hope your seizures can be controlled soon.

Oh Lord. I am coming up on 6 months since last seizure. Hoping to drive again. I can't imagine having that many that close together. Please keep us posted on what the recommendation is and what you decide to do.
