My daughter recently had an avm in her cerebellum which was surgically removed in August. Her post angiogram results showed a new dural av fistula in her anterior fossa. No one saw it in any other imaging before. Found out it is not a candidate for embolization due to the location, would cause her to lose vision in left eye and surgery could be done but is not ideal and very risky. So looking into Gamma Knife. Her physician suggested we have genetic testing done. We had to two tests done and both were negative. She is still insisting there has to be something going on because she has two vascular malformations. She does not have HHT. Anyone else have genetic testing for multiple malformations? Just cannot deal with this genetic testing on top of everything else right now.
