I was put on Keppra one month post GK for mini seizures. My only option for my brain tumor was the GK. It is inoperable due to the location. I'm curious who else has side effects and what they are. I absolutely hate the keppra and how it makes me feel. I also have frustration issues because I don't look any different but I FEEL different. I went back to work 6 days post GK but I'm exhausted all the time. It's hard for ME to accept these feelings too. I'm the one who normally glues everything together and keeps things running. I really wish I could have had more time off work to recover but I'm the only one working. My husband is on disability from a stroke in 2012. Although, thankfully he has insurance I would not if I didn't work. He has been wonderful and supportive. What are your suggestions for the fatigue? Thank you for letting me vent and for sharing your stories...
Hi KD. Did you have tumor or did you have an AVM? Lots of people have trouble adjusting to Keppra. Give it a while and if you still have anger issue…talk to your doctor. There are a lot of other anti-seizure meds out there. Fatigue takes along time to go ways but eventually it does get better!
Hello Barbara. I have a brain tumor, not a bleeder. The potential is there but hopefully since Gamma that had been eliminated. My tumor involves the optic nerves, carotid arteries, parathyroid and my brain stem. That is why it was inoperable. I hope you are right about the fatigue.
