Does Hormone Therapy (Estrace Hormone Cream) have an adverse effect on an AVM or any of the symptoms?

With the stroke risks associated w/HRT, I would use great caution & thoroughly discuss it w/ AVM experts.
My neurosurgeon adamantly told me, "NO estrogens."

AVMs have progesterone receptors and respond to hormonal activity. That is why puberty and pregnancy alike are common times for avm progression and worsening of symptoms. In the end, this is a question for your doctor, but generally speaking, hormonal treatments are often contraindicated for avmers.
