That’s a great and hilarious shot!
I think that the best thing about pets is that they love you unconditionally: mistakes, failures, and all.
Some food, water, exercise, play, petting, and a clean place for them to do their business…a pretty good deal
I have a male miniature pincher, Jordan 9 yrs old. He became apart of our family in December of 2003. He was one of my Christmas present from my husband. He has brought so much joy into our lives, and he really is one of the family members -- we refer to him as our son :-) He greets us when we return home, and he misses us when we are gone -- in fact when I'm away he stares out of the window waiting for my return. He also knows the exact time my husband comes home from work -- if he's not home by that time, he gets worried and anxious :-). Although he's a house dog, he really loves the outdoors more. Miniature pinchers have the mind of the big Doberman pinchers and Jordan is not afraid to challenge big dogs. He also like staying under covers the year around for warmth – he’s known for making igloos, and he even gets in the window seal to get some sun. Jordan is quite a character -- there's so much more he does that amazes me everyday. He really does understand English, and has become very familiar with certain words particularly when he gets in trouble LOL. Jordan has brought so much joy and laughter to our lives. The amazing things he does on a day-to-day basis has really helped me get through difficult days since being diagnosed with AVM in 2006. He takes my mind off of my problems and replace my gloomy days with joy, laughter and fun. I truly believe studies that dogs and all pets are good for healing.

Thanks Jules!
Ain't he the fabulous one!
Thanks Armando. I love the pic of your dog – so adorable. What a kodak moment – it was truly worth capturing.
I have been surrounded by all kinds of different pets during my life. We (four siblings) used to pick up strayed animals and my parents accepted them, but we had to be responsible for all their needs. You are loved unconditionally by them. As an adult I still pick up strayed animals.
I picked up a cat called LUNA, a year before I got sick due to a bleeding of my very large AVM. LUNA new that I wasn’t well and every day she cuddled by my side for very long hours. I learned with her to recognize signs or symptoms before each seizure. When a seizure was going to happen, she sat next to me until it all happened, then stayed by my side until I woke up of it. She was my companion for 13 years until I began to see changes on her character. So, for the next 2 years I accompany her during her lung cancer. I still miss her.
At this time, I have two dogs and a cat and one of my dogs knows when I am getting a seizure because he howls. Not all animals can predict an event, but all of them can help you heal!
