I think i understand

I think I know how my Nana felt when I was so sick. She was my mother’s mother and lived with us. There were 10 or 11 people living n one very large house in NY. It seemed like a happy place to grow up. When I got sick, and had symptoms, my mother said I was a fake. and it was Nana who believed me and we went to an eye doctor. I was complaining of spots in my eyes, headaches and noise in my ear. I will forever think she saved my life. She was always there for me.

I became a grandmother 14 months ago, I realized this past week when my son and family were visiting, how much this little girl loves me and how much I love her. She calls me Nana and looks for me when she hears my voice. I realize now why my Nana was so good to me. She loved me like a grandmother does.

beans

Beansy, this posting is a sweet read and God bless your granddaughter and you.

I’m so happy for you, beans. You’re right, there’s nothing like a grandmother’s love.
