Hi guys,
I dont want to beat round the bush..so straight getting to the point.
when we are facing tough situations such as AVM ailments common man always feels for us & eager to be of help.....BUT u must also know common man is not a doctor or super power...that is why he is called common man..which includes your family friends well wishers etc.
Those well wishers are just desperate to make us happy & get rid of our trauma.....so just out of their emotions they may suggest some inspiring goals or targets which may TRIGGER a hunger in us to pursue them without realising the pitfalls.
Let me give you the simplest example....lets presume u underwent the AVM surgery & was in the hospital & saw your doctor & got inspired that you too want to become a doctor. But did u notice that just that momentary inspiration does not make u use your head about all other practical constraints & reality such as what are the procedures to get a medical seat in a Medical college, to what is the fees to whether u can afford it....to inspite of u able to get good marks in academics there are constraints on reservation criteria etc for college seats which may hamper your chances of getting the seat...to actually seeing the cinematic visuals of a confident doctor talking so pleasantly to his patients & all the respect he gets from the people etc etc....but the practical difficulties in learning all that stuff in a lab to the 100s of exercises & assignments etc etc.
SUMMARY - Never get carried away when a well wisher compliments you inspirationally. DO NOT FLY. STAND FIRMLY ON YOUR FEET. Be fully educated about what is the path you need to walk before u reach a beautiful destination.
Hope this helps few of us.
cheers !
