Hi! Here is my story. I was 16 years old when I suddenly were very sick in what turned out to be a severe hemorrhage caused by a AVM from birth . For a couple of weeks I struggeled between life and death but doctors were able to save me. Since my avm was placed close to the center of vision, surgery was impossible and I was treated with radiation instead. It took me two years to recover but I have now lived 25 years as free from my avm. The only injury I have left is poor eyesight and a bad shor…

I was 16 years old and had just started at a soccer high school. I played football several times a week and was completely healthy until the brain hemorrhage occurred. After radiation treatment and two years of rehabilitation, I was declared healthy and was even able to start playing football again at the age of 18!
