LINAC surgery post symptoms

Hello fellow surviors,

I had LINAC surgery in Dec 2009 for a CCF (Cavernous Carotid Fistula) and still have symptoms. Follow up angiogram shows the fistula was closed. Still have sinus pressure, right side slight burning sensation in neck. If anyone can shed some light, it wd be appreciated. Thought all of these symptoms wd be gone by now.

The radiation can keep cookin so to speak for 18 to 24 months per my NS. I’m in the same boat just 13 months post GK. So I’m going to wait it out another 12 months or so before I let myself off the hook. I still get the whooshing sound once in awhile and lightheadiness along with tinitus. I feel this will all improve over time as my brain re-adjusts to the AVM disappears and absorbs into my body as my NS says will happen.

Thank you so much for your reply. I still have some lightheadedness as well, some dizziness and other “weird” stuff that goes on in my head. It’s hard to get a straight answer from Drs. so I appreciate your insight.
