Lost of Hearing

Has having a brain hemorrhage affected your hearing?

Mine did. After my first hemorrhage I had a moderate level of tinnitus. Its never gone away but now I rarely even notice it anymore.

If I listen for it its still there but sometimes its even hard to find if I go looking (well listening) for it.

After 4 hemorrhages and a dose of Radiation, im lucky to have this as my only symptom now.

I had a cerebellum hemorrhage in March ‘25 and I’ve had tinnitus before the hemorrhage so that’s nothing but, I stopped having migraines though, and I’ve had very delicate hearing is what my said, I can hear through noise cancelling headphones (over the head ones) and my loops (in ear), I just can’t win, putting them both together sucks but does some dampening now with loops and noise dampening headphones?

Yes

It’s over 30 years since my avm ruptured and I lived attached to a machine.

After a long recovery, I have regained my hearing and independently both ears work but there is damage where the hearing function connects to the brain. For me it is a minimal loss which means I’ve lost awareness so I sometimes don’t hear my phone ringing when it’s in my coat pocket.

It’s the same with my eyes, each one is healthy and can see but the connection in the brain doesn’t always work and my vision will blur.

It’s not ideal but at least I can have an independent life.

I was still recovering 5 years after the rupture so give yourself space and time to heal.
