Hi everyone,it’s been a long time since I’ve posted anything just looking for anyone who’s experienced anything similar,I’ve been having some burning pain on my right side of head where my avm is,it’s goes into my eye and down my side of face,I saw the doctor he said it’s migraines I’ve suffered with migraines along time but have never had one like this,I was worried it could be something to do with the avm or from the radiation which I’ve had twice now the last time was 2023.would be interesting to know if anyone had had any migraines like this.

I’ve done a search through the house for my book on Migraine and either I’ve lost it or I’ve loaned it out to someone who hasn’t returned it. So I went for the internet and the search I got suggested that something called allodynia is a burning sensation that can occur in the aura phase of migraine.
My book is Migraine by Oliver Sacks (the doctor in the film and book Awakenings, if you remember that) and what I do remember from the book is that he distinguishes migraine from seizure but also from migraine-like symptoms. In the case of things he considers migraine-like would be the situation where some anomaly is behind the symptoms and our assumption in this forum should probably always be that our AVM or some effect from it may be the driving force behind the symptoms.
