My next update

I just celebrated my 8th strokeversary just today. And on my last appointment to my obgyn I brought up the suspicion of the possibility of confusing the “polyp” they found for an AVM for I had read somewhere that it has happened before in uterine AVMs. And although I am a brain AVM patient, I am also an HHT patient which means I can have AVMs anywhere else in my body :smiling_face_with_tear::pleading_face::grimacing: so and luckily so far lungs and heart are clear (my cardiologist was kind enough to put me at ease and check for me after having tachycardia episodes and chest pains and excessive vomiting (which also was not my vp shunt) so prayers my way please my friends  upto now it’s still just a polyp and I was told if it were an AVM he would not risk me and would intervene right away :folded_hands:t3: Something my good friend Nancy from my masters program resonates with me and I would like to share it with all of you. Some people are send to this world to teach lessons and others are sent to learn them. As an AVM patient it’s hard to carry the weight of having to see others learn lessons but struggle to learn them. Unfortunately we don’t hold why God things the way he does, if not we wouldn’t have been born this way, huh? And not only is our personal pain but watching others’ hearts’ break slowly knowing how he will end up.

Hey @Teiry ,

It’s been a while. Good to hear from you again. These things are sent to challenge us, it’s how we manage it all that makes us the people we are.

You are right my friend and right in the middle of my masters the stress is at ultimate high. I am experiencing the burnout they all talk about my brain is complete mush and I am beyond exhausted and overstimulated I have no time to even do therapy it’s insane. But I guess keeping my brain running counts lol :joy: but I am still around  just alot going on unfortunately lol !!

Hi Teiry, it’s incredible you’re still going after your master’s while dealing with so much. I really admire your strength. I hope your health gets better and you’ll be bringing back good news soon. God’s with you.

Best wishes,

Emily
