I had my first radiation treatment Monday a week ago (02/11/13). They had to put the head frame on and it hurt so bad! Anybody that says there will only be "pressure" for a little while is full of it. My head did not stop hurting until the frame came off. I threw up several times. I have never been so glad to get something off in my life. Thank you Jesus they don't think it will be required next go around.
Sorry went through such an awful experience. I am your to the site brand-new to the experience although I have had this thing in my head my whole life. I would have had migraines since I was five years old and apparently to doctors completely overlooked the CAT scan and MRIs they didn’t feel it was important enough to tell me that I had hemorrhage and had a lesion in my head.
Anyhow enough about me I’m more concerned about you it sounds like you’re going through an awful lot and I sure do hope that your next experience is better and I pray that you get well really soon thanks for the feedback and may God bless you .

I'm sorry you had such a bad experience. I've had 3 Gamma Knife radiation treatments and didn't have that same kindof experience.
I 100% agree with you there!!!! The headframe is awful, especially after an angio where you have to lie flat for hours! I was told I wouldnt need to have another round after the first one thankfully, I think being slightly ignorant going into the first one probably helped me get through it, as now I would be SUPER nervous to experience that again!! (Kind of reminds me of childbirth lol!) Hope it all works out for you, I was told there was a 70% chance my avm would close within 3 years, I have not had another checkup since my radiosurgery in April 2012, but should be back for a checkup in April/ May this year :)
