I found out 1-26 I had an enlarged vein. Was sent to Dr. J in Boise then to Dr. Anderson in Boise Idaho and now to Dr. Lawton in California...has anyone heard or no anything about UCSF and/or Dr. Lawton. So far reviews look ok but cant find a lot of info on him.
I am a very impatient person already and a go go go person too :-) The hurry up and wait is bad enough but then I also have a constant (ice cream headache)--best way to describe it-- since first finding out about this AVM. I am really just ready to fix it and get going already. BUT I also want to get as much info on the Dr. as well.
Hi Tana - Dr. Lawton is very well respected, especially when it comes to working with patients who have AVMs. He is on the Board of TAAF, the Aneurism and AVM Foundation (which puts on the AVM walk in SF every year) and I actually remember him being at the walk two years ago. If you check the search box on here with the name Dr Lawton, there are pages and pages of praise about him. You may want to contact some people on this site who have written about him. You also have the opportunity to ask him questions after he reviews your case. If you are going to California, Stanford is also a fantastic place for AVM surgery, Let me know if you need some help!!
