Last night my 11 y/o woke up complaining of pain which I think was a leg cramp. He, however, was very confused and glassy eyed and was soaked with sweat. For about five minutes he didn't know where he was and answers to other basic questions. He walked in to use the bathroom and on the way there walked beyond the bathroom. This went on for about 5 minutes, until he was more alert. He was very restless all night and the sweating decreased, but went on for three hours. In the a.m. he was alert and said he remembered me asking him questions, but not getting up. So, my question is has anyone had night sweats since removal of their AVM? He is 16 months post AVM removal and this is the first time this has happened. His next MRI/MRA is scheduled in December. Really freaked me out....
Sorry, I don't have any answers for this, but I hope he is feeling better!
Hi Bretts’s mom. Personally I would call his neurologist just to be sure he is okay. When I read the symptoms I thought Simple Partial Seizure…https://www.google.com/#q=simple+partial+seizures+sweats
It probably was a one time thing but why not just be safe and call. I would have been freaked out too. Please keep us posted!
