Hello there, thank you for admitting me to your group. So I have a grade 4 AVM sitting somewhere on/ between parietal and temporal left lobes. Due to its deep eloquent position it was deemed inoperable and unsuitable for embolisation. I had SRS in Nov 2021 which I was very unwell after I had some brain swelling and other side effects and eventually suffered a minor bleed probably not caused by SRS or that’s what’s been said. Anyway the SRS has been unsuccessful and has had some success in shrinking the AVM by 40% and I’m due back to meet the neurosurgeon to discuss the possibility of it being done again. My questions to you lovely people are have you had repeat SRS and was it successful and also does 4 years seem like an extreme gap? I’m based in Ireland. Also FYI I have 3 intra- nidal aneurysms within the AVM if this changes it.
Appreciate any input
Martina
