Hi all,
My wife had a craniotomy 2 weeks ago, and since she has suffered severe pins and needles in her right hand (AVM was on rhs of brain). She says its like electric currents floating around in her hand.
The doctors claim its just a case of waiting for this to go, which could be weeks.
Has anyone else experienced this at all?

Hi i had this in my left foot and hand after a craniotomy, this then led to numbness in my left foot its going to be a year since my Craniotomy next week. I still get the numbness, i have to have accupuncture done to relieve this, how is your wife otherwise?
Headwise she is fine, problem was is that she had a bleed during her op which has affected all movement down left hand side. We have been told we are looking at 6 months in a rehab centre for treatment, but there is a 3 month waiting list to get in the place. So all in all, its going to be at least 9 months til she is home.
Still, we are focusing on the positive aspects of the operation and hopefully in time she will be OK again, the Professor is confident all movement will return,

I suffer from this quite a bit and actually its been the worse within the last week. (I spent several hours Monday evening in the ER because of it along with numbness on the left side.) I know the exact feeling though and its so strange and hard to explain to others. I’ll be praying for your wife. Hang in there and let me know if you have any questions!
