Hi all, has anyone experienced the same problems as me or is experiencing, as I feel like I'm the only one and a failure as I can not use my right hand normally as I had done before my brain surgery.
Also, I have problems with my right leg where it goes stiff, it's like the message going from my brain to my leg telling it to bend doesn't reach my leg and the message isn't going to my right hand to move normally either. For instance, I can't stir very easily, I have wrist control problems and also carrying a plate or a cup of tea my right hand will shake, also my writing looks like I'm re-learning how to write.
Is this just happening to me?
Sounds like same issues opposite side. But I’m left handed. You’re not the only one. Been 6 months post op. All I can tell so far is slower is steadier and endurance builds over time.
its been over a year since my surgery, it has improved but im still not fully back to normal
Try a weight for you pen. It helped my writing
Its been almost 5 yrs and the feeling on my left side hasnt come back 100%. But it has improved tremendously. The first two years were the hardest. My left side was weaker, whatever i would hold with my left hand would drop without me even noticing because I didnt feel i was holding anything.Hopefully with time you will get better, be patient and whenever you have a chance excercise your hand. It will help a lot.
