You're moving forward, Tricia, and you're headed in the right direction. Most members here have had an angiogram, and some have had many of them. Try to just take each step as it comes -- keep calm and carry on. Do you have a date for the angio?

NOT YET

I was also very scared to have my first angio and now its nothing. I mean I cried going into my first one (i was 23) but now it is nerve racking but its ok. The worst is having to lay flat and not moving your leg ugh your like that for hours! But you are strong enough it get through it just like the rest of us have and did and still do :) Remember its normal and ok to be scared and nervous its all part of life and such :) Best of luck and prayers out to you!

Hi Patricia. We always refer to an angio on here as the Gold Standard of testing. It really is the best way to see an AVM. Sounds like you have a good doctor this time.

Barbara is right. An angio is the gold standard for seeing all the veins-arteries in a brain. My daughter has had several. They are good things because they will tell doctors exactly what’s happening and where, so they can formulate a plan for you.

Hang in there, Tricia. Please let us all know how you’re doing.

this well be my 2sed one but i am scared thanx andrea

aww thank u i lose control at time s but ur right

yea i hope so thanx

i forsure will thanx tina

Hi Tricia!

As others have said, it's the best way to find them!! That was the only way the doctors figured out why I had a cerebral hemorrhage.

I've had a total of 4 of them myself and the having to lay flat for 4 hours (or whatever it was) was the most tedious part. While it is a little nervewracking, I also thought it was kind of cool. I could feel all the little veins/capillaries in my lips heat up for a moment and that was freaky-cool!

Anyway, best of luck to you and I hope it all goes smoothly!!

thanx serenegail this will be # 2 for me but he did say i was going to me put to sleep for it so i dont panic thanx i hope it goes smoothly too xo

Hi Tricia - I am so glad you had a good appointment with a Neuro. An angiogram is the best way to see what's going on in your brain, so that's good news. Looks like things are definitely moving forward. I hope your mom can go with you to that appointment. Were you able to ask him all of your questions? Happy that you are keeping us posted. Hang in there girl.

didnt get to ask much cause he wants to see it more clearly then he can tell what i want to know till then idk but thanx deb for allways thinking of me xo patiricia
