Music helps me. The wonderful thing about music is it's open to interpretation. A song can be written to explain one thing, and my experiences let me relate to it in a completely different way. I'm totally okay with that.
They could be writing about onions. If the things I take from it are getting over tears and life having more than one layer (thank you Shrek for comparing Ogres to onions) then it's my experiences, emotions, and endurance it represents.

At the risk of repeating myself (frontal AVM semi joke) music helps me. Not only as a distraction when I'm feeling overwhelmed and stressed but also to be reminded I'm not alone in how I feel. The fact we're still here shows perseverance and strength beyond measure. Intestinal Fortitude.
That we participate in a website which provides support, resources, and talks about things we'd rather ignore sometimes shows we are strong. STRONG STRONG STRONG.
I've never met anyone on this website but feel connected to everyone. We can do this. We are doing this. The other side (healing and recovery) is waiting for us.
My life was a hot mess before my "unexpected event". It can only get better from here.
Fun fact-music aside-I swept up dog hair today into a pile, took a picture to send to my mom and sister claiming it was a puppy. After looking at the picture it did look like a puppy. I WIN!!!!
It's the small things. Sometimes tiny things, that make this easier to deal with.
